My fellow teen girls and I had another meeting yesterday to study chapters 9-15 of Proverbs, and wow was it GREAT!! There were only 6 of us this time, because a lot of them were at a singing convention in Harrisburg, but it seemed like we were all there. There was so much interaction and sweet fellowship that none of us wanted it to stop.
I always try to make a treat for us, because a Bible Study isn't a Bible Study without food right? ;-) Well, if you don't know me, I love Pinterest and get a lot of great ideas from it. On Wednesday I found a recipe for Cookies and Cream bars. I was so excited, because who doesn't love cookies and cream? So, on Thursday I went to the store and got everything I needed for them. I immediately got to work and started making them. Grinding Oreos, melting marshmallows and butter, mixing them all together, then cooling, cutting, and putting the gooey squares in the fridge overnight. When I woke up the next morning the first thing I did was go and check on the bars. To my horrible dismay they turned in to rocks. Literally, if someone would have dropped it on their foot I think it would have done some serious damage LOL. Well Plan B...Rice Crispy Treats at 6:45 a.m.! Bowls and spoons clanging, marshmallows over flowing in the microwave, rice crispies popping, and finally running outside to catch the bus. Phew! Made it!
Now, let's get to the the important part...the Bible Study. As they drank the chocolate milk and ate the rice crispy treats we had a wonderful discussion and everyone had such great things to share. We were all so excited to hear what each other had learned and were able to relate and give input. Laughter and rejoicing there's not much more I can say. God is teaching me a lot. I love these girls and they are a blessing to me, I hope that I am to them as well. To the girls in my Bible Study~ Phil 1:3, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you."
Till next time...
Here's something to make you laugh... Looks can be sooo deceiving! Try again Pinterest!
